The Pace of Collingwood display suite is an inviting new space on a prominent street corner, a place for locals and visitors to drop in and take a closer look at some seriously good design. When our architects discovered the site had more space than was needed, we decided to engage a local operator the opportunity to set up shop. Our plan was to support a local business, cover their outgoing costs and increase their profits while adding to our street presence.
Enter Co-Ground, who inspired us with their commitment to global change via eradicating poverty through social enterprise. Their crowd-funded mobile cafés fuel Melbourne's coffee obsession with the highest quality brews, allowing for an impressive 100% of profits to go towards education and livelihood support projects in the Asia Pacific region.
A busy summer has seen Co-Ground and Pace enjoying a rewarding collaboration that embodies the spirit of the neighbourhood. The display suite and pop up café has become a local hub, bringing people together while raising funds for a global cause. All profits from the Pace and Co-Ground pop-up café initiative will go towards an educational project in Vanuatu's Epi Island. Good karma all ‘round.
